travel around traditional way : Chacheongsao


I would like to suggest you a place that is not too far from Bangkok. You can basically travel there and come back within a day. We are going to visit a temple  at Chacheongsao province . 

Let's start your day early by make merit and put gold foil on Luang Por Sothorn, also known as Luang Por Phra Buddha Sothorn image, a statue that has been sacredly located in the hall in Sothawararamworawiharn Temple, also known as Hong Temple. The temple is located on the bank of Bangprokong River, Tambon Nhamuang, Ampor Muang, Chacheongsao province. It's only around an hour away from Bangkok.

Luang Por Sothorn image has been sacred overwhelmingly by people from the province nearby. According to the history that has been told, Luang Por Sothorn statue has flown along  Bang Prakong River and then local people and a sacrifice tying a holy string on the hands of Luang Por Sothorn image. The image could be easily taken out off water and then  be placed at this temple since then.  When we enter the hall, we can see a gorgeous Buddha image made of motar coated with black lacquer and coverd with gold leaves in meditate position with around 1 elbow lap width. Nearby, there are also Buddha image of 7 days for us to pay respect to and  to stick gold foil on. Moreover, you can see beautiful scenery of the hall which is located on the river bank. In additional,  there is a staff stands in front ot the entrance to check if you dredd property or not. If you don't dress property, don't worry because there are proper clothes provided for you to were as well. 

Please remember that you must take your footwear off  before entering the building
